Buhata

Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 30, 2026

Buhata is a life-tracking app for your money, tasks, family, and health. This policy explains what information the app handles and where it goes. The short version: your data lives on your device, backups go to storage you own, an online account is optional, and we never sell your information or show ads.

Information stored on your device

Everything you enter in Buhata (financial entries, tasks, grocery lists, weight and water logs, health reminders, journal entries, family profiles) is stored locally on your device. It never leaves the device unless you use one of the features below.

Google Drive backup (optional)

If you use backup, Buhata writes a single backup file to your own Google Drive using a folder and account you choose. We do not operate that storage and cannot read it; access is governed by your agreement with Google.

Buhata Cloud account (optional)

If you create a Buhata Cloud account, we store: your email address, a hashed password (we cannot see the original), your display name, and the content you choose to sync so it can appear on your other devices and, if you join a household, be shared with the household members you approve. You can delete your account in the app or at our account-deletion page; deletion removes your synced data from our servers after a 30-day recovery window.

AI voice commands (optional, paid feature)

When you use the AI microphone, the words you spoke are sent to our server and passed to an AI language provider to be converted into app commands (for example, “add milk to groceries”). Transcripts are processed to fulfill that request and are not used to train models or build a profile of you. Voice input is always something you trigger by tapping the microphone.

Weather and exchange rates

If you enable weather, the app requests your approximate location from your device (with your permission) to fetch a local forecast. Currency features fetch public exchange rates. These requests retrieve data for you; they do not send your personal content anywhere.

Children

Kid profiles exist inside a parent’s account and are controlled by the parent. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.

What we never do

Security

Cloud traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Passwords are stored only as salted hashes. Our servers sit behind network-level protection and access to them is limited to the operator of Buhata.
